Mitch Weisbrot, CLU®, ChSNC® joined Center for Wealth Preservation (CWP) in May 2011 after a sixteen-year career as a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual. He achieved Top 10 status at his former agency from 2002 through 2010 and assisted in the development of that corporation’s Special Steps program. Mitch is now a Special Care Planner at CWP where he has qualified for the annual Leaders Conference* every year and is currently one of only 906 Chartered Special Needs Consultants[1] in the country.
During a pre-game ceremony at Citi Field on May 8, 2013, he was presented with the “NY Mets Spirit Award” in recognition of his efforts to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities; Mitch also received the 2015 Douglas R. Carroll Award honoring his professionalism and service above and beyond what is normal and expected. He is a member of the Autism Society of America – Nassau Suffolk Chapter of New York State, and the Long Island Family Support Consumer Council.
Parents of children with disabilities face extraordinary challenges and have significant concerns about their children’s futures. As both a financial representative and the father of three boys with autism, Mitch Weisbrot has the requisite professional and personal experience to help families with special needs navigate this complicated estate planning process. He conducts workshops for parents at organizations such as ACLD, AHRC, CP Nassau, DDI, Down Syndrome Connection of Long Island, MDA, Nassau BOCES, QSAC, the Town of Hempstead ANCHOR program and various JCCs, as well as for SEPTA groups, private schools, and public school districts. Mitch understands that parents of children with disabilities require unique financial guidance to ensure that their children will be properly taken care of long into the future, and he educates families about making the necessary arrangements for the lifetime of each child.
