Guillermo Oropez “G” has come to the CWP straight from Hunter Business School where he gained experience with computer technology and being a networking specialist. Before making a career switch, he had plenty of history with the hospitality and customer service industry. Being able to communicate and tending to the needs of customers as well as getting along with coworkers comes with ease.
Guillermo strives to find areas for growth and new knowledge when it comes to technology. Eager to solve computing related problems to ensure the team members at the CWP can conduct their day-to-day business is a rewarding feeling to him. After attending Nassau Community College and graduating with an associate degree he later felt it was going to be to his benefit to acquire a specific skill. The computer technician networking specialist course at Hunter Business School was geared just right, and it gave him the skills and confidence to be equipped for the CWP role of Agency Technology Specialist. Now familiar with replacing hardware, troubleshooting software and unjamming printers he feels ready to keep up with the ever-changing field of technology as the fundamentals of IT are instilled in him.

Guillermo currently lives in Westbury where he cares for his mother. One of his biggest passions is eating exotic food and traveling. Korea, Thailand, and Colombia are just a few of the places he has been and is looking forward to being able to add more stamps to his passport. He also loves to be active. Playing tennis and cycling are two things he hopes to be able to do for as long as he can. Round trip bike rides from Westbury to Manhattan are both exciting and relieving. He hopes that when computer problems arise and a team member starts to get “excited”, he can relieve them remotely or here at the CWP.
